Bleeding Management: Bite on a gauze pad for 30-60 minutes immediately after the procedure. If bleeding continues, replace the gauze pad and bite down firmly for another 30 minutes. You can also use a moistened tea bag, as the tannic acid helps form a clot by contracting bleeding vessels.

Pain Management: You may use over-the-counter pain relievers such as ibuprofen or acetaminophen as directed by your dentist. For more severe pain, your dentist might prescribe stronger medication.

Swelling and Bruising: Swelling is normal and may be minimized by applying a cold pack or a bag of frozen peas wrapped in a towel to the cheek near the extraction site. Use for 20 minutes on and 20 minutes off during the first 24 hours. Some bruising may also occur but will fade away after a few days.

Oral Hygiene: Do not rinse your mouth for the first 24 hours. After 24 hours, gently rinse with warm salt water (1/2 teaspoon of salt in a cup of water) after meals and before bed. Continue brushing and flossing your teeth, avoiding the extraction site for the first few days.
